Açaí is a dark-coloured Amazonian fruit with an intense flavour. It is considered a superfood due to its excellent nutritional composition, especially its high levels of anthocyanins and flavonoids, which are important antioxidants and omegas.

Yes! All Tribe’s sorbets are vegan certified by the V-Label certification body, guaranteeing that they contain no animal products or lactose. They are also free from gluten, dyes, preservatives, synthetic additives and GMOs.

No! We want our customers to know and appreciate the true taste of açaí. That’s why we’ve chosen a simple, natural recipe without the addition of guaraná in any of its form, or flavourings of any kind.

We avoid ingredients that could mask or alter the real taste of açaí, guaranteeing an authentic and healthy experience.

Originally, açaí has an earthy flavour with a touch of cocoa, and is naturally not very sweet. However, the taste of açaí is masked by added ingredients such as guaraná, sweeteners and flavourings, which are often used to make it softer and sweeter. The final taste therefore depends on the ingredients mixed with the açaí.
Açaí is a native fruit that grows exclusively in the Amazon rainforest, usually as a spontaneous crop. The açaí we use is harvested by riverside communities, which we support and contribute to their sustainable development. After harvesting, the açaí is processed into frozen pulp at our partner Eco Foods’ factories and then shipped to our factory in Portugal, where we process it into açaí sorbet.

Tribe’s açaí sorbet should be stored in the freezer at a temperature of approximately -18ºC and should spend as little time as possible at room temperature. We recommend that you only take it out of the freezer for the time needed to serve it and then store it immediately.
