Sustainability
We look after our planet
Our commitment
At Tribe, we believe our impact goes beyond making excelent products. We are committed to making a positive impact on the environment, society and the communities we work with.
Sustainability is one of the pillars of Tribe's commitment. We want to play an active role in creating value for society, contributing to the adoption of more responsible behaviours, reducing environmental impact and maximising positive social impact.
For the second year in a row, in 2024 and 2025, we were selected as “Escolha Sustentável” (Sustainable Choice), in Portugal, confirming our commitment to responsible practices.
Social and Environmental
Project in Amazonia - COOPERAMOR Cooperative
The COOPERAMOR cooperative was set up by the island's inhabitants to promote, through education, the proper management of the açaizal, increasing its productivity and the quality of the fruit, and thus the income of the community. The partnership between Tribe and Eco Foods supports the cooperative's initiative by guaranteeing the direct purchase of the fruit, without intermediaries, which gives the cooperatives a better profit margin. On the other hand, the company guarantees the collection of all the produce with its river fleet, which would otherwise not be collected and subsequently sold.
This support is essential to increase the income of this community and create better conditions for its development.
Environmental
Manufacturing operations
In our manufacturing operations, we have implemented practices and processes that enable us to minimise our environmental impact and promote sustainability at all stages of our products' value chain.
Reducing our Environmental and Energy Footprint
Reduced environmental impact
We have an effective thermal insulation system and air drying systems on the chamber doors to minimise the impact of inlets and outlets, resulting in a reduction in cold loss of around 20%.
For industrial steam generation, our equipment allows a significant reduction in gas compared to conventional equipment.
